Viannah and I were going to write the book together. At some
length, I did get her to read it. As was stated elsewhere, this
is really for her to read when she's my age -- forty something.
She'll remember at that point that she did it, but not much for detail.
After a long time, I also got her and Viann to put the scrapbook
together. It is in a three ring binder with pink roses all over
the cover. This was before we were fully integrated into the
internet, however. All the pictures are on old fashioned film
(not digital) and in any case all the other items in the scrapbook are
paper too, like the Back Country Permit, correspondence from the park
service, a bulletin from the inter-faith church service on the North
Rim on Sunday, hand written lists, campsite maps and reservations,
brochures, hand drawn pictures, the "Golden Eagle Passport" (what you
use to get into the park), receipts, postcards, maps, the outline for
how to write the book, a used Richmoor bag "Dinner #1", and a Grand
Canyon Bumper Sticker.
