2005
o
Katherine
graduated from La Ca–ada High
School in June
and spent her first college semester at Azusa
Pacific UniversityÕs High Sierra program at Yosemite.
o
Courtney
finally built that software defined (amateur) radio and is É
still working on
it. (ItÕs ÒonlyÓ
software.)

2006
o
John
and Courtney toured the Pacific Northwest in August:
Crater Lake, Mt. Rainer, Olympic Rain Forest, Mt. St.
Helens, San Francisco, Seattle.

2007
o
Viannah
graduated from Franklin & Marshall
College in May with majors in English and History.
o
Courtney
spent a month in Hillsboro while his mother Louellyn had the car,
garage, TV,
and both knees replaced.

2008
o
John
graduated from La Ca–ada High
School in June
and is now a freshman at Baylor University. Sic ÔEm Bears!
o
Louellyn,
turned 80 in July. Big party in
Hillsboro.
o
Katherine
is now a first-year senior at APU
with two majors: Studio Art and
Cinema Broadcast Arts.
o
Viannah
lives in Brooklyn where she worked for the Brooklyn Bridge Park
Conservancy
until November. She graduates from
Wilkes University with a
MasterÕs in creative
writing in January.
o
Viann
has been a psychiatric nursing professor at Azusa
Pacific University for several years and also runs
admissions for
the nursing program.
o
Courtney
finished six years on multi-mission solar system navigation software
(NASA
ÒSoftware of the YearÓ runner up) and now works on GRAIL,
a lunar gravity
measuring mission while he tries to pioneer a small spacecraft program
in his
ÒspareÓ time.
o
We
still go to Pasadena Covenant Church after a long year with major staff
changes.
These
interesting times we live in bring unprecedented events and
unprecedented
reasons for both concern and optimism.
Our God, whose coming to earth we remember this season, is much
larger
than any of this mess. Take care,
