Straight Key Night Report



I was able to squeeze in three SKN contacts this UT New Year's Day:



KI6OI	3.539	Mike	Sacremento, Ca

W7EXR	3.542	Al	Seattle, Wa

N7WFB	14.051	Dick	Whidbey Island, Wa



My vote for best fist is Mike, KI6OI, he was smooth and stable throughout the QSO.  I doubt he would vote for me though, I send straight key pretty well with my right hand (sometimes when mobile or camping, I save on equipment count and hassle by taking only a straight key so I get some practice) but sent some of that QSO with the left, to see how well I could do.  Legible, maybe; A-1, no.



Every year I wish I had the time to sit back and have a dozen or more leisurely rag chews in the old tradition.  Maybe SKN 1998.
